Are you interested in a farm or bush walk? Maybe fishing on a pontoon surrounded by sparkling water? Do you have children who would like to interact with farm animals including rabbits, chicken, sheep, miniature Hereford cattle and a friendly or maybe just gluttonous pet stag? Perhaps you are just looking for a quiet, peaceful place out of the bustle of city life in which you can just relax. Well, Quamby Pines Chalet would be your ideal place.
The beautiful drive, lined with a diverse variety of trees greets you as you approach your chalet. In spring they are festooned with pastille blossoms, birds skipping from branch to branch. Summer and autumn do not decrease in beauty, merely changing from fragile blossoms to branches laden with a variety of rosy, decadent fruits, all of which you are free to sample.
Following an exciting day of exploring the beautiful Deloraine and surrounding areas, all you want to do is lay down, you come to the home-like accommodation where you feel immediately comfortable and calm. After having a nice warm shower you endeavour to find a drink. Upon opening the fridge you are confronted with a choice of cold drinks, but after contemplating whether or not to have a beer you decide you actually want a hot beverage, with which you then settle for a nice coffee. With coffee in hand you walk outside to the barbeque and sitting area where you view the beautifully intense sunset framed by undulating hills.
You soon realise the light is fading and it is becoming cold so you go inside and turn on the heater to warm the rooms. With the kids settled in the other room: exhausted but sleeping happily, you turn on the T.V. and watch a couple of your favourite T.V. programmes. In the big comfortable queen-sized bed warmed by the electric blankets, fluffy doona and surrounded by soft pillows you fall into a peaceful sleep having had the most satisfying day.
