The Phillip Island Resort Hotel is conveniently located directly on route from Cowes to the famous Penguin Parade and Phillip Island Racetrack. Fully refurbished October 2005, all rooms contain quality beds, appliances, furnishings and fittings and if you feel like socialising, we even have a fully licensed restaurant and bar! The villa-styled architecture and views to the pool from every room, provide a peaceful, holiday environment with a beautiful sandy beach a short stroll away. Built in 1959 the Phillip Island Resort Hotel was the first motel on Phillip Island and was completed in time for Ava Gardner, Fred Astair & Gregory Peck, here during filming of the Hollywood classic- On The Beach! At the time, this 24 room motel was built with no expense spared. The vast open spaces, unique compared to new motels, provide plenty of lawned area for families and groups to "soak up the sun" and enjoy the atmosphere.
