Fully self-contained enchanting and beautifully furnished 4 bedroom Edwardian style cottage on 43 acres with magnificent and uninterrupted views down the valley to the mountains beyond. Just a few minutes drive to the Healesville shops, restaurants and the Yarra Valley Wineries and almost next door to the RACV Country Club
Healesville, in the heart of the Yarra Valley is a pleasant 60 minutes drive from Melbourne. The Yarra Valley is Australia's premium cool climate grape growing region.
The airy open plan family room has a vaulted Baltic pine lined ceiling, parquetry and cosy gas log fire. There is a 68cm TV complete with DVD and home theatre. A kitchen setting for 6 looks out on the extensive gardens and bird feeder (a popular spot with local parrots).
The separate dining room has a gas fire, 8 seat dining suite and a chaise lounge.
A kitchen setting for 6 looks out on the extensive gardens and bird feeder, a popular spot with local parrots. Breakfast can be enjoyed here or at a number of other locations throughout the house and gardens. Breakfast Ingredients include 6 x different cereals, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, white bread, fruit bread, milk, butter, orange juice, tea and coffee.
The kitchen features Bosch cooking appliances, a microwave and a dishwasher.
The cottage can accommodate 2 - 10 and comprises a large main bedroom with a Queen sized four poster bed, parquetry flooring. Off the main bedroom is a large full ensuite with 2 person spa and valley views.
The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed with built in robes and enchanting mountain views.
The third bedroom can have either 2 single beds or a King sized double, depending on your needs. There's also a built in robe.
The fourth bedroom has a double bunk.
Located a few steps from the back door is a romantic "sleep-out" with a double bed, toilet and air conditioner.
Off the main bedroom is a large beautifully designed full ensuite with 2 person spa and superb valley views.
This is in addition to the main and modern bathroom for the remainder of the house.
The sheltered outdoor living area has a gas barbecue and comfortable seating. There are uninterrupted views down the valley to the mountains beyond.
Our property backs on to the State Forrest and there is direct foot access to the walking tracks there. A large mob of kangaroos feed most mornings and afternoons in our back paddock. At night on the sweeping lawns surrounds the cottage we have wombats doing what wombats do and from the verandah King Parrots and Rosellas can be hand fed on the verandah.
The views from the house and grounds are stunning and uninterrupted. The silence, peace and tranquillity is refreshing to the soul.
